Open-GDF-SUEZThe Open GDF SUEZ is an annual hard-court tennis tournament which is held in Paris, France. The tournament was formerly known as Open Gaz de France, and is a Premier event on the WTA Tour. The tournament was first held in 1993 and is played on indoor, hardcourts. The Open GDF SUEZ celebrated its 18th edition in 2010 and the event takes place at Stade Pierre de Coubertin in Paris, France. During the Paris massacre of 1961, this stadium was used as a detention center.

The total prize money for the tournament in 2009 was US$600,000 which was upgraded to US$700,000 in 2010. As the tournament is a Premier event, many top ranked players participate in this event. The prize money of the event is around $700,000.
